The Brief

Kendal Nutricare, the makers of Kendamil, needed a way to check the quality of baby formula samples automatically.

Our Solution

We wrote a custom colour detection algorithm and ran it on a microcontroller that also drives the system’s lighting and cameras. It all sits in a branded casing with a touchscreen: place a sample on top and check it at the press of a button.

The Impact

A functional lab device at TRL 4, covering bespoke software development, casing design, electronics and testing in one prototype.
